Juliet Fleischer - Owner/Elementary Directress

Juliet received a B.A. in English from the University of Miami in 1983 with minors in education, science and history. She was married soon after and taught junior high in Melbourne, FL for two and half years before starting a family. When her two sons became toddlers, she became very interested in early childhood education. As a graduate of the Florida Institute of Montessori Studies in 1994, she obtained preschool certification from the American Montessori Society. In 1995, she and her family moved to Mount Washington Valley and established Mountain View Montessori School. In just two years Juliet was encouraged to  expand the programs MVM offered. She attended the Seacoast Center for Montessori Studies in 1997 and 1998 in Andover, MA. to obtain elementary certification by the American Montessori Society. Since 1996 Juliet has been a member of the local chapter of Business and Professional Women and she enjoys, hiking, gardening, sewing and writing.

 

 

Mantie Pilzer - Preschool Directress

Mantie Pilzer left her hometown in Westchester, NY to attend UNH where she graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology and a minor in education. Soon after, Mantie moved to the White Mountains and substituted at John Fuller Elementary for a year, working mostly in the Special Ed. Department. She started at MVM as an assistant in the preschool classroom for two years, and has been a head teacher since 2002. She received her American Montessori Society Early Childhood Credential in 2003 from the Center for Montessori Teacher Education/NY.  Mantie is currently working towards her Master’s degree in Montessori Education and Environmentalism. She was married in 2005 and her interests include rock and ice climbing, biking, reading, and playing with her three dogs.
