Text Box: Our last wine and snacks social event for parents will discuss what the Montessori elementary program will look like at MVM next year. We will look at grammar and geometry materials, define classroom structure and social dynamics and take a closer look at the elementary cultural curriculum  as it relates to the Five Great Montessori Lessons.

Seacoast Science Center field trip

Text Box: MAY 20—Seacost Science Center at Odiorne Point St. Park in Rye, NH is a wonderful way to see many sea creatures up close with the opportunity to even touch a few! Games, activities and role playing to learn about tidepool animals  is part of the fun! This field trip is for all students. All MVM staff will be going so there is no class this day if your child does NOT attend this trip. 
	We will need to leave the school no later than 8:15 so everyone Text Box: MUST ARRIVE ON TIME—by 8:00! This is an extra early arrival, but we have a long drive. Many drivers and chaperones will be needed, so please let Juliet know if you can attend. Siblings of all ages are welcome to come along if their parents also drive. 
	There is a cost of $5.00 per person, child or adult. This includes the Tidepools for Tots interactive presentation and  nature trails through 7  environmental habitats.

Even though it turns out we have no chicks, we appreciate Aimee Frechette’s effort in helping us get eggs to incubate. Thanks!
Please note that our school year will be ending sooner than the public schools’. Your support  throughout this entire year has been greatly appreciated! 
Thanks to those who brought treats or helped with the spring party! Especially the Becker family who donated all the flowers for the hunt in the labyrinth grove. Thanks so much!
Time of year again for sunscreen, bug spray, and water bottles. Be sure these items are  marked with your child’s name before sending them to school. 
Your child should have closed shoes at school for playground use. Sandals are fine for the classroom

Mountain View Montessori School

Text Box: Weather permitting, the Trike-a-thon will be this Wed. at 10. If you would like to help by supervising “traffic” flow, counting laps or face painting, please let us know. 
This week we will be talking about helping children with cancer and about bicycle safety. Wed. students are asked to bring their bike helmets to school. They may also bring their favorite riding toy as long as they are willing to share. Please begin collecting pledge money immediately. It is due to MVM by May 17. Thanks for your help with this worthy cause!
